Providing care kit donations is a great family or team building activity that has a meaningful impact in our community. Whether you pack one care kit or 100, we will happily receive them at our warehouse. To drop-off donations, pull up to Garages 7-8 and ring the doorbell to have a member of our warehouse team assist.
We accept donations Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 4 PM.
Suggested items for the kits are available below, but you can adapt the lists as you see fit. Just place items in a sturdy bag and feel free to include a friendly note or child’s drawing.
Maternal Care Kits
These kits provide essential items during and after pregnancy for mom, baby and siblings. The kits are given directly to participants in our Fresh Rx: Nourishing Healthy Starts program, which is designed to improve health outcomes with nutrition and supportive services for food-insecure pregnant women and their families.
Healthy Home Pantry Kit
An integral part of our Nutrition Education courses is meal planning, food budgeting and stocking a healthy home pantry. This care kit contains the core ingredients for a family to create nutritious, delicious meals at home.
Senior Care Kit
This care kit provides items to brighten the day of a senior facing food insecurity. Older adults with limited incomes often have to prioritize paying for medicine, and some support other members of their family.
Students In Transition
This care kit addresses the unique needs of students displaced from their homes who may be living in shelters, cars, hotels or a variety of temporary living conditions. These students have diets high in sugar, salt and fat and low in protein and fiber. They need ready-to-eat foods that ideally don’t require cooking, even in a microwave.
Cooking Starter Kit
Essential kitchen utensils and spices enable Nutrition Education class participants who lack basic cooking tools at home to continue to use the skills learned during the course.
