For more than 40 years, OFS has provided food and resources in an effort to solve the problem of hunger in our region. Now, we find ourselves at a critical moment for our organization, our society and the world. The pandemic has necessitated dramatic changes in our work and has heightened awareness of systemic inequities. Four decades after our incorporation as a nonprofit, we are positioned to continue our immediate hunger relief efforts while also working further upstream to address the underlying causes of food insecurity.
WHERE WE’RE GOING
To serve our community in the best way possible, our strategic focus for the next three years will be guided by several concepts that enable us to improve our organization internally and externally:
We heal hunger with innovative and collaborative solutions that provide food today and help create a hunger-free tomorrow.
We envision a region where everyone has equitable access to the food they need to lead healthy lives.
EQUITY
We strive to address disparities to ensure that everyone has equitable access to sufficient, nutritious food.
COLLABORATION
We empower each other by working in partnership with individuals and organizations in our community.
INTEGRITY
We deliver on our commitments and hold ourselves accountable for our words, decisions and actions.
