As the OFS Nutrition Services Manager, Joy oversees food procurement, recipe and nutrition education material creation and logistical management for our Community Nutrition and Food Is Medicine Programs, including Nourishing Healthy Starts. Joy also oversees the commercial kitchen at Operation Food Search and collaborates on new program development.

Joy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Fitness from the University of Missouri, where she also received minors in sociology and military science, along with a multicultural certificate. She went on to be an active-duty Airborne Field Artillery Officer for the Army.

After her service, Joy got her Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an emphasis on Nutrition. Joy has volunteered for Stray Rescue and previously for Operation Food Search, where she helped with Fresh Fork Market and packed meal kits for the Nourishing Healthy Starts program pilot.

Joy enjoys cooking, trying new foods, breweries and restaurants, going to Saint Louis sporting events and traveling with friends.
