Kathy Mora

As the Director of Nutrition, Kathy is responsible for overseeing and assisting with research studies, particularly as related to nutritional science, medical nutrition therapy and culinary medicine in the area of Food is Medicine. A love of learning and a deep sense of scientific and life curiosity are the professional inspirations she finds motivating about nutrition and dietetics.
Kathy is a Registered Dietitian who earned her doctorate degree in nutritional science and epidemiology from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in nutrition and exercise science from Florida State University. Before joining Operation Food Search, Kathy taught graduate and undergraduate students at SIUE and SLU.
Kathy is a native Chicagoan who then grew up in St. Louis. She lives with her husband, two children, and one adorable chocolate lab. When Kathy is not working, she will be out running the roads or trails around St. Louis. She also enjoys nearly every other sport and outdoor activity, as well as cooking, experimenting with recipe development and generally finding ways to laugh.
