Buffalo Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • 3 – 4 cups – Cauliflower florets
  • ⅔ cup – All purpose flour
  • ¼ cup – Cornstarch
  • ½ tsp. – Salt
  • 1 tsp. – Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. – Onion powder
  • 1 tsp. – Paprika
  • ¾ cup – Water
  • 1 cup – Panko bread crumbs
  • ½ cup – Hot sauce
  • ⅓ cup – Unsalted butter

Directions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°.
  2. Combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, and spices in a bowl and mix until combined.
  3. Add the water to the flour mixture and whisk together until smooth.
  4. Toss the cauliflower in the batter until well coated.
  5. Add the breadcrumbs to a bowl and add a few pieces of cauliflower at a time, shaking the bowl as you add them, so they’re evenly coated with the breadcrumbs.
  6. Place in the air fryer and cook for approximately 15-20 minutes, flipping over halfway through.
  7. While the cauliflower is cooking, add the hot sauce to a small pot and heat gently. Stir in the butter until it’s melted.
  8. When the cauliflower is done cooking, add to a bowl and toss with the sauce.
  9. Serve and enjoy.

Chef’s Tips

  • Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing, just as you would with chicken wings.
  • If you don’t have an air fryer, these can be made in a conventional oven, but you may want to raise the temperature to 425°.
  • If you don’t like hot sauce, substitute barbecue, honey mustard, or your favorite sauce for wings.
