Operation Food Search works to expand access to nutritious food by helping individuals and families overcome barriers to healthy eating. Our Nutrition Access Program uses a partnership model to provide flexible solutions that increase the availability of fresh, shelf‑stable, and ready‑to‑eat foods for those facing food insecurity.
Programs are typically implemented through fee‑based or mutually funded partnerships, allowing us to purchase and distribute high‑quality food that meets our nutritional standards and ensures long‑term sustainability. In select cases, full program funding may be provided through grants, philanthropic support, and strategic partnerships.
Nutrition Access services are delivered through partner organizations and are not currently available for direct individual enrollment.
Why Nutrition Access Matters
Healthy food access is not determined by income alone. Transportation, neighborhood resources, food availability, and nutrition education all play a role in shaping dietary habits and long-term health.
OFS works with healthcare and community partners to provide nutritious food and expand healthy food access for individuals facing food insecurity. For example, our partnership with Greater Health Pharmacy provides weekly bags of food to homebound seniors receiving diabetes or hypertension medication through the pharmacy.
