TSA agents at St. Louis Airport work without pay amid shutdown
Transportation Security Administration agents at St. Louis Lambert International Airport are continuing to work without pay as the partial federal government shutdown reaches its 40th day. Despite the lack of paychecks, airport officials report that security operations and staffing levels have remained steady.
The local impact is part of a broader national crisis affecting 61,000 TSA employees who did not receive pay as of last weekend. To support workers facing financial uncertainty at home, the nonprofit Operation Food Search has begun delivering hundreds of bags of nonperishable food directly to agents at the airport.
