High school football teams return to Tackle Hunger

This year’s Tackle Hunger campaign is aiming to collect 75,000 pounds of food to help neighbors still feeling the impact of the May 16 tornado

The fourth-annual Tackle Hunger campaign kicks off Aug. 22, with a goal of collecting 75,000 pounds of food for our organization. The effort comes at a critical time, as families across the St. Louis region continue to recover from the devastating May 16 tornado.

“The devastating tornado that struck our metro area on May 16 has only heightened the food insecurity challenges facing our neighbors. As we launch our fourth annual Tackle Hunger campaign, we’re not just aiming to break records—we’re responding to a critical moment when our community’s support is needed more than ever,” KSDK President and General Manager Alicia Elsner said. “KSDK is proud to amplify the incredible spirit of our high school students and football fans as they tackle hunger head-on.”
