Food Security & Independence for Older Adults — Understand Proposition S

As our parents and grandparents get older, most want the same simple things: to stay in their own home, prepare meals in their own kitchen, and remain connected to the people and places they care about. Sometimes, the support that makes that possible is smaller than we realize—a nutritious meal, a ride to an appointment, help with household tasks, or a community program that keeps them healthy and engaged.

At Operation Food Search, we see every day how access to nutritious food can help older adults maintain their independence and quality of life. That is why conversations about supporting seniors matter. Proposition S would establish a dedicated senior services fund in St. Louis County to support programs that promote health, nutrition, safety, and independence for residents aged 60 and older.
