Build-A-Benefit: Your FUNdraiser, Your Way
OFS supporters can be highly creative in the ways they raise funds to fuel our mission. One athlete ran 100 miles through Forest Park, raising more than $35,000 to help heal hunger. Many others have hosted trivia nights, requested donations rather than birthday gifts, and even contributed the profits from their lemonade stands. The size of the fundraiser varies greatly, but the commitment to helping others is always there.
These Community FUNdraisers are events hosted by people who care about making sure local families have food on the table. And their creativity is as impressive as their generosity.
“Drag Me to Hell of a Good Time” was a drag-and-burlesque show created specifically to support the community after the 2025 tornado. It was a joyous celebration of art, entertainment, and activism—and OFS received $1,629 from the proceeds of their show earlier this year.
Some supporters are less flashy, but just as dedicated. Local musician Sharon Hall regularly donates all the money from her concerts to OFS—with more than $2,300 raised to date.
Building your own benefit is simple: pick an activity, connect with OFS, rally your people, and make an impact. We’ll help with ideas, resources, and a custom donation link with a QR code for your event.
