In her role as Manager of Public Policy, Sarah acts as the liaison between Operation Food Search and the Missouri state legislature. Sarah engages elected officials around issues relating to hunger and food insecurity. As a registered lobbyist, she works with legislators, legislative staff, and other governmental officials to promote public policy initiatives that reduce food access barriers. Sarah also coordinates grassroots advocacy activities on key legislative issues, as well as trains and mobilizes community food advocates.

Prior to joining Operation Food Search, Sarah was a Legislative Intern with Empower Missouri, where she assisted the St. Louis Chapter with their hunger and criminal justice task force initiatives. Sarah is a graduate of The George Warren Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, holding a Master’s Degree in Social Work.
