As the Fresh Rx Community Resource Coordinator, Katie is responsible for engaging high school students, staff, and community partners around the Fresh Rx: Prescribing Healthy Futures program. Katie provides student-centered care to support access to fresh, whole food for high school students experiencing food insecurity. Katie also works with the Normandy High School Farm Committee and coordinates the Participant Advisory Council for the Fresh Rx: Nourishing Healthy Starts program.

Prior to joining Operation Food Search, Katie worked at the Centene Center for Health Transformation at Washington University as a Master’s Research Fellow and interned with the St. Louis Integrated Health Network on the Enhanced Centering Pregnancy program. Katie is a licensed social worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Social Work from the Ohio State University.
