Claire teaches nutrition education and Cooking Matters classes in the community and coordinates satellite partnerships for Cooking Matters classes. She also organizes all the volunteers for our Cooking Matters classes, works towards expanding volunteerism within the Nutrition Education team, and enhancing retention strategy.

Claire received her Bachelor’s in Nutrition & Dietetics with an emphasis in the Culinary Arts in 2016 from Saint Louis University, completed her dietetic internship at Tulane University in New Orleans in 2017, and received her Master’s in Medical Dietetics from Saint Louis University in May 2019. Throughout her career, Claire has held various roles educating a variety of age groups on cooking and nutrition, including developing and teaching an introductory culinary course at Saint Louis University. In her free time, Claire volunteers for Girls in The Know as a body image speaker for pre-teen girls.

From Claire: I have always been a firm believer in engaging children in their health at a young age, either through cooking, gardening, or other various nutrition activities. Operation Food Search has provided me with the perfect platform to help empower children to independently make healthy choices for themselves while still making food fun!
