DESCRIPTION:From Food Rescue to Lasting Solutions\nMore than 45 years ago\, a coalition of faith communities came together with a shared purpose: to find food for neighbors in need. What began as a search became something more. Today\, Operation Food Search is not only responding to hunger; we are building solutions that address it at every level. \nIn addition to providing food and services to more than 200\,000 people every month\, OFS works to address hunger over the long term through advocacy\, innovation and nutrition education. Our vision is clear: a region where everyone can access the nutritious food they need to lead healthy lives. \nJoin OFS in celebrating 45 years of feeding our community by helping us collect 45\,000 lbs. of food in 45 days!\nSummer is historically our most challenging time to maintain shelf-stable food stocks. \nWhether you organize a large food drive or simply donate a few shelf-stable Items\, every donation helps ensure families across our region have access to nutritious food. \nHow to Help\n1. Organize a collection through:  \n\nYour school\nChurch\nWorkplace\nNeighborhood\nSports team or club\nSummer camp\n\n2. Get materials\, social media copy\, and downloadable flyers at Give.OperationFoodSearch.org. \n3. Let us know your plans and if you’ll need to pick up our blue food drive barrels for collection. Email Volunteer@OperationFoodSearch.org.  \n4. Review our list of most needed items and encourage people to donate.  \n5. Start collecting! Share your efforts with friends\, colleagues and on social media.  \n6. Bring the food to OFS or arrange for pick up (if six barrels or more). DESCRIPTION:Cardinals Broadcasters Chip Caray and Brad Thompson are joining Cardinals Care and FanDuel Sports Network to support Operation Food Search at a time when child poverty has more than doubled. \nFans can participate in two ways: \n\nDonate $200 to join a special Food Packing Event on September 19 with Chip\, Brad\, and Cardinals on-air talent from FanDuel Sports Network.\nDonate $5 or more to help provide healthy meals for families in need.\n\nCardinals Care will match all fan donations up to $10\,000\, with every dollar going to OFS. \nFood Packing Event – September 19 from 10 a.m. to noon\nFor a $200 donation (ages 18+)\, participants will package food at OFS and receive: \n\nFour tickets to the Cardinals vs. Brewers game that evening\nA Cardinals Goody Bag\nA photo opportunity with broadcasters\nAdditional event surprises\n\nHow to Register\nDownload the request form and email it to community@cardinals.com. DESCRIPTION:Recycle Your Electronics on April 23!\nNew Earth Day Event at OFS Helps Put Food on the Table\n \nAs a rescue food bank\, Operation Food Search has worked to put food on tables and keep it out of landfills since 1981. \nFor Earth Day this year\, we’re partnering with Phoenix Solutions to keep electronics out of the landfill\, too.
