Operation Food Search

Getting to the point

Learn the “weird” way Operation Food Search made this holiday season special with the help of some friends

It’s a simple equation: Take a restaurant chain, add in a radio station, and then put a non-profit agency into the mix. What do you get? A successful annual holiday food and fund drive.

This year marked the 14th annual holiday food drive by partners Hardee’s, The Point, and Operation Food Search. Hardee’s locations sold limited-edition Weirdo Stickers for $1, and all proceeds benefitted Operation Food Search.

Throughout the years, Hardee’s and The Point have raised over a quarter of a million pounds of food – and more than $85,000 in cash donations – to help feed the community’s families. Definitely a win for everyone involved!

The need to combat food insecurity is a year-round quest. It exists in every community…in every zip code…and in every county. That’s why partnerships like this annual food drive enable Operation Food Search to achieve its ultimate goal: to end childhood hunger, to empower families with programs and services proven to reduce food insecurity, and to increase access to healthy and affordable food.

Thanks to Hardee’s and The Point for making this holiday season a brighter one for those in need.
