Operation Food Search

Thanks to paramedics who helped “Fill the Ambulance with Food”

A big thanks to the paramedics at St. Charles County Ambulance District (SCCAD) who took time to “Fill the Ambulance with Food” once again this year. Yesterday these fine folks took to the streets of St. Charles County – linking up with 11 local senior living communities – to make a big impact on local pantries working with Operation Food Search.

Thanks to the growing number of communities, along with the quality and quantity of the donations, this event far exceeds filling just one ambulance. In fact, the drive collected nearly 4,250 pounds of food headed directly to St. Charles area food pantries.

This year’s efforts could not be possible without the participation of the following retirement communities:

Breeze Park, Brookdale St. Peters, Garden Villas of O’Fallon, Lakeridge Senior Apartments, Lake St. Charles, Park Place Senior Living, River’s Edge, The Boulevard, Twin Oaks at Heritage Pointe, Twin Oaks at Stone Ridge, and Windsor Estates of St. Charles.
