This event gives community members an easy way to securely recycle unwanted electronics while also supporting families facing food insecurity. \nRecycling Details\nPhoenix Solutions will responsibly recycle your electronics and securely destroy any data-bearing devices (NAID AAA Certified). \n\nFree to recycle most e-waste\n50¢ per lb for flat screen TVs/monitors\n$1 per lb for CRT/tube TVs/monitors\n\nAccepted items include: \n\nComputers\, laptops\, desktops\, towers\nCell phones\, tablets\, and hard drives\nServers\, smart watches\, and other data devices\n\nNot accepted: batteries\, fluorescent bulbs\, large household appliances\, printers/scanners\, and kitchen devices.(For a full list\, see Phoenix Solutions’ recycling guidelines.) \nFood Drive Details\nBring shelf-stable food donations for Operation Food Search. DESCRIPTION:First Things First\, Kurt & Brenda Warner\, and Operation Food Search are calling on support from greater St. Louis for the 25th annual Warners’ Warm-up Coat Drive with the donation of new and gently-used winter coats of all shapes and sizes for Bi-State residents in need. The two-week drive takes place from October 20-November 2\, 2025 with more than 100 drop-off locations throughout the Bi-State. As always\, Operation Food Search will get the coats to those who need them through their network of social service agencies and homeless shelters. DESCRIPTION:During the Christmas season\, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites people everywhere to light the world by lifting and serving others in small and simple ways. \nOne unique\, fun\, and memorable aspect of the Light the World initiative is the popular Giving Machines. These customized vending machines allow the public to donate necessary products and services to those in need worldwide. Giving Machine items often include food\, clean water\, medical care\, clothing\, education support\, hygiene kits\, and even livestock\, such as chickens\, goats\, pigs\, and beehives. \nSt. Louis receives the Giving Machines from December 11th\, 2025\, through January 1st\, 2026. The machines are a perfect way to love\, share\, and invite others to Christ this Christmas. One hundred percent of every donation is given to the participating nonprofit organizations to purchase and deliver the donated item. What began as a search became something more. Today\, Operation Food Search is not only responding to hunger; we are building solutions that address it at every level. \nIn addition to providing food and services to more than 200\,000 people every month\, OFS works to address hunger over the long term through advocacy\, innovation and nutrition education. Our vision is clear: a region where everyone can access the nutritious food they need to lead healthy lives. \nJoin OFS in celebrating 45 years of feeding our community by helping us collect 45\,000 lbs. of food in 45 days!\nSummer is historically our most challenging time to maintain shelf-stable food stocks. \nWhether you organize a large food drive or simply donate a few shelf-stable Items\, every donation helps ensure families across our region have access to nutritious food. \nHow to Help\n1. Organize a collection through:  \n\nYour school\nChurch\nWorkplace\nNeighborhood\nSports team or club\nSummer camp\n\n2. Get materials\, social media copy\, and downloadable flyers at Give.OperationFoodSearch.org. \n3. Let us know your plans and if you’ll need to pick up our blue food drive barrels for collection. Email Volunteer@OperationFoodSearch.org.  \n4. Review our list of most needed items and encourage people to donate.  \n5. Start collecting! Share your efforts with friends\, colleagues and on social media.  \n6. Bring the food to OFS or arrange for pick up (if six barrels or more).
