Julia moved to St. Louis in 1997 to attend Saint Louis University and graduated with an MSW. She started her social work career assisting low income families in South City. This quickly helped her to realize how many people were suffering to achieve their basic level of need like housing and food. To help a larger number of people, Julia joined Operation Food Search in 2008. As the Agency Relations Coordinator, Julia gets to see first hand the difference providing food can make in someone’s life. She ensures that all agencies are getting what they need to help people in the community. Julia also has the responsibility of making sure food stays safe throughout the entire process of donation and distribution. When not at work or assisting food pantries in the community, Julia enjoys spending time with her new husband and adorable English Bulldog, Bruno. |
